  • Mama C. T. Kadzamira

    FOUNDING TRUSTEE

    Mama Kadzamira was the official hostess of Malawi for over 2 decades until 1994. She is a nurse by profession, and during the years that she was official hostess, was instrumental in ensuring high and specialist training for nurses in Malawi. She also spearheaded the famous Chitukuko cha Amayi M’Malawi which successfully looked at the empowerment of women in Malawi. Mama is currently retired but is involved in multiple philanthropic work, both publicly and privately through her foundation Dzidalire and others. She enjoys reading and farming.

  • Bright Kamanga

    CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD

    Bright is an entrepreneur and the Chief Executive Officer of MedHealth Limited, a medical aid administration company. He brings with him to the Board of Trustees vast experience as a corporate executive and management consultant including project management spanning over 30 years. Bright is a Chartered Accountant and member of Institute of Chartered Accountants in Malawi (IACM). Bright is a family man with three children.

  • W.K. Sulamoyo

    TRUSTEE

    Wickford Kingsley Sulamoyo has held various prominent roles throughout his career. Initially serving as a civil servant, predominantly as a district commissioner across several districts in Malawi, he later transitioned into diplomacy as a representative in the Republic of South Africa. Upon his return, he assumed responsibilities within parliament, eventually moving to the Office of the President and Cabinet (OPC) until his early retirement. Subsequently, Sulamoyo undertook the role of project manager for the fuelwood project before being appointed as the Deputy General Manager at the Malawian Housing Corporation, where he served until his retirement from the institution. Currently he serves as the Administrative Officer for the Malawi Congress Party.

  • Innocentia Ottober

    TRUSTEE

    Innocentia is a lawyer and Managing Partner of Lloyds and Associates Law Firm. She was admitted to the Malawi Bar on 18th May, 1995. She holds a Bachelor of Law (Honours) Degree from the University of Malawi obtained in 1994 and a Masters Degree in International Economic Law from the University of Warwick, United Kingdom, obtained in 2004. She is a member of the Malawi Law Society, Women Lawyers Association and SADC Lawyers Association. Innocentia is a Legal Advisor for the Catholic Church in Malawi. She currently serves in the following capacities: Chairperson of Old Mutual ( Malawi) Limited, Chairperson of the Non-Governmental Organisation Authority, Trustee of the Missionaries of Africa Centre For Social Concern, Director of Marianist Institute of Rural Artisans for Christian Life Education (MIRACLE), Director of Tata Motors Zambia Limited ( Malawi Branch), Director of Medhealth Limited, Commissioner on the Malawi Police Service Commission.

    She has previously served as a Commissioner on the Special Law Commission on the development of the Gender Equality Act and has acted as a Consultant to the Parliamentary Committees on Agriculture, Health and Social Affairs. She has also served on the following institutions: Christian Health Association of Malawi as Trustee, Old Mutual Life Company Limited as Chairperson, Old Mutual Pensions Company Limited as Chairperson, Public Procurement and Disposal of Assets Authority as Chairperson, Competition and Fair Trading Commission as Director and Lilongwe Handling Company Limited as Director, National Oil Company of Malawi as Director.

  • Chester Kabinda-Mbewe

    TRUSTEE

    Married with four children and three grandchildren, Chester is an ICT specialist with over 35 years experience in government, private and NGO organisations at management level. Currently, he serves on many boards including Action for Progress where he is the board chairperson, and Namikango Mission. He is also a Pastor serving at Church of Christ that congregates at Redcross in Blantyre.

    Cecilia Chikondi Kamwana is a retired nurse with more than 29 years of service in both the private and public sectors. She is currently a business lady who is specifically into commercial farming. She is a family woman.

  • Naomi Norma Sulamoyo

    TREASURER

    Naomi is a retired banker with a distinguished career spanning twenty-three years at the Reserve Bank of Malawi, commencing in 1983. Prior to her tenure at the Reserve Bank, she served in the Civil Service as a customs cadet officer at border posts. She then transitioned to the role of general duties executive officer primarily involved in staff recruitment interviews. Post-retirement, she has dedicated herself to philanthropic endeavours, focusing particularly on supporting underprivileged members of the society, including those living with albinism and visually impaired school children.

  • Linley Kamtengeni

    MEMBER

    Linley is a retired civil servant. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Science, and a Master’s degree in Adult Education. She worked as Community Development Officer in the then Ministry of Gender, Community Development and Social Welfare from 1974 and retired in 1998 at the position of Director of Gender Affairs. She has passion for working with rural women and men. She pioneered the expansion of adult literacy education in Malawi, evidenced by the creation of a structure for the delivery of adult literacy education. In the 1980s she developed activities to address the issues of women's participation in development, and was later appointed member of the Civil Service Commission. She then became director of the Department of Gender Affairs. She also played a key role in the activities of the Chitukuko cha Amai Mmalawi, which embraced the Women In Development approach. She was the Chairperson for the Central Region.

    From 1998 to 2018, she spent much of her time doing consultancy work in the areas of education, gender equality, and social development.

    Though retired, she still participates in issues affecting women through the CCAP church and Dzidalire Foundation.

She played a pivotal role in the inception of the Young and Sober project, showcasing her dedication and fervour for initiatives aimed at societal betterment. Memory is known for her unwavering commitment, profound passion, and deep-rooted values in faith and family bonds. She finds fulfilment in fostering the welfare of others, seeing true joy in the happiness and well-being of those in her community.
